Patton Oswalt, Aimee MannThe world of comedy takes on America’s past, present and future in the musical comedy album 2776. Created by Rob Kutner (The Daily Show with Jon Stewart) and the Levinson Brothers (The Tonight Show), the album is a collection of 28 original songs with all proceeds going to the OneKid OneWorld foundation. 2776 features an impressive lineup of comedians including Patton Oswalt, Reggie Watts, Ira Glass, Margaret Cho, Paul F. Speaking of America, the album will be released July 4 via iTunes. USA! USA! USA! So, that means you can blast all 28 tracks of this stellar album while your patriotic barbecue is in full swing– maybe after you’re done showing off your guns and right before you eat a seven-layer American flag cake. In the meantime, check out a track and its video from 2776 called “Toymageddon” featuring iconic indie rockers Yo La Tengo, NPR god Ira Glass and comedian Eugene Mirman! You can pre-order the album now! That is, unless you hate both America and children who desperately need your help. It’s your choice. It’s a free country, sort of.

And, bonus! Check out “I’m Cured” featuring Aimee Mann, David Wain and Dave Foley!

And if you want more, you can listen to “These Aren’t the Droids” featuring Neko Case and Kelly Hogan at Paste magazine.
