The trial for comedian Adam Richmond, who was slapped with felony sexual assault charges in July of last year, begins tomorrow at 10 am in Minneapolis at the Hennepin County Government Center, according to court documents obtained by Laughspin. The Los Angeles-based comedian was arrested in the early hours of July 29, 2013 after performing at Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy in the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota.

As Laughspin reported in March, after the show, a server allegedly invited Richmond back to her house, although she insisted she made it clear that she was not interested in having physical relations with the comedian. Shortly after 3 a.m., Bloomington police responded to a 9-1-1 call where they could hear a female yelling at a male to stop and to get away from her. Richmond made inappropriate comments, reached up her dress, and even took out his genitals in a plea for oral sex, according to prosecutors. The alleged victim repeatedly said to stop and even kneed him in the groin before making the call to police. Richmond was eventually arrested at his hotel.

Richmond at the time reportedly admitted in a recorded interview that he was “maybe a little aggressive…I might have grabbed her.” He later mentioned, “Maybe I was horny: I get excited when I get drunk.” His blood-alcohol concentration at the time of arrest was .17. Richmond is charged with fourth degree criminal sexual conduct and attempted criminal sexual conduct. He posted a $100,000 bond on July 31.

According to the court documents, Richmond has waived his right to stand trial in front of a jury and instead has chosen to face only the judge, Daniel H. Mabley, who’s been a practicing judge for 22 years. If he’s convicted, Richmond could face 25 years in prison and up to $50,000 in fines. The comedian’s official site, is “down for maintenance.”

He went on matt fulchirons podcast not being a psycho rapist or anything and said the waitress couldn’t keep her story straight between her and her roommates. Was anyone from laughspin at the trial? Richmond said she didn’t even care about what was going on and the prosecutor was an abominable mess. The cops didn’t take photos at all, nobody showed up in support of the waitress
