Seth MacFarlane’s new Fox animated series Bordertown just landed a huge lead. Simpsons star and comedian Hank Azaria will voice lead character Bud Buckwald. The Emmy Award-winning actor joins MacFarlane’s comedy about two neighbors from very different backgrounds living in a fictional town on the U.S. — Mexico border. Buckwald is a married father of three and a Border Patrol agent. His neighbor Ernesto Gonzalez is a family man and a hard-working immigrant who is more successful than Buckwald despite having been in the country for less than a decade. Hilarity should ensue.

Fox has a legacy of strong animated series with top voice talent. MacFarlane has been a huge part of that, aside from long-running series The Simpsons. The Ted director has already launched Family Guy, American Dad and The Cleveland Show to lots of popularity. Azaria will be a strong lead on a series that hopefully matches his talent. He joins Alex Borstein, Missi Pyle, Judah Friedlander and Nicholas Gonzalez on the cast. Bordertown has yet to be scheduled for a premiere.
