Nerdist emperor Chris Hardwick might bring yet another show to television. Comedy Central ordered a pilot for Sleight of Mouth, a weekly comedy/variety/magic show starring comedian Justin Willman. Willman mixes magic with his stand-up and has experience hosting TV shows. He’s served as host on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars and Halloween Wars. He’s also hosted several game shows. Each week on Sleight of Mouth, Willman will tackle a thought-provoking topic with sketches and social experiments with guest comedians. As Nerdist shows have done a phenomenal job of doing, the variety show will mix online interaction with viewers at home, much like the popular #HashtagWars on @midnight. Chris Hardwick will serve as executive producer alongside former Late Show producer Robert Morton and Alex Murray of Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
