Famed Times Square comedy club Carolines On Broadway is partnering with us at Punchline Magazine to launch the Breakout Artist Comedy Series, a four-month run of weekly live shows that will allow selected up and coming comedians to headline. The series is meant to highlight rising comics that the club believes will be the headliners of tomorrow.

“Carolines on Broadway is not only the club that features the country’s biggest stars and best headlining comedians, it’s also a breeding ground for comedy’s future stars,” says Louis Faranda, Talent Producer for Carolines on Broadway, the New York Comedy Festival and creator of the “Breakout Artist Comedy Series.” “We’ve chosen 18 of the very best comedians that are working their way through our ranks and are giving them the opportunity to headline their very own night. We feel that these are the comedians who will someday be household names.”

“I’m incredibly honored to have Punchline Magazine be part of this series,” says Dylan Gadino, founder and editor-in-chief at Punchline Magazine. “It allows us to help expose some the country’s best up and coming comedians as well as work with a venue that’s been so crucial in the development of today’s most respected names in the business. Carolines is where I first saw Brian Regan and Dane Cook headline and Mike Birbiglia as an opener. I’m looking forward to watching these stars of tomorrow air out with full headlining sets.”

Punchline Magazine will add a page on the site to highlight each week’s breakout artist. The shows will go down every Tuesday at 9:30 pm beginning May 4 and will run through Aug. 31. Visit for more info. For reservations call 212.757.4100.
