Chelsea Lately comedian Julian McCullough is on his way to NBC. Ed Helms’ production company Pacific Electric helped and a first-look deal for McCullough’s multi-camera sitcom Poor House. The comedian will write and star in the show about a free-spirited, anti-establishment, non-conformist dad who drifts across America and through life until he decides to settle down and let his teenage son have a normal high school experience— whatever that is. They plop down in a wealthy picture-perfect suburb in a rundown house surrounded by mansions. Ed Helms will executive produce the project, which is based on McCullough’s childhood.
