Daytime television is about to become a crowded woman’s world. ABC/Disney is in talks to launch a new talk show with Queens of Comedy comic Mo’Nique. The Oscar-winning actress will compete against an already-funny daytime landscape filled with comediennes Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd on The View, Aisha Taylor on The Talk, Ellen DeGeneres on Ellen, and the new self-titled show with Queen Latifah. This would not be Mo’Nique’s first run as a talk show host. She hosted The Mo’Nique Show on BET from 2009-2011. The show is not officially set, but The Hollywood Reporter theorizes it could launch as soon as September 2014.
