NBC today announced premiere dates for its fall comedies, boasting a rather unorthodox approach. Rather than a traditional premiere week, the network has scattered its kick-off shows over a two-month period. So pay attention…

Go On, a new sitcom starring Matthew Perry, will air as a sneak-peak on Wednesday, Aug. 8 after the Olympic Games coverage, and begin its official run Tuesday, Sept. 11th at 9 pm. Following that, will be the premiere of The New Normal at 9:30. A sneak peak of veterinarian’s office comedy Animal Practice will air Sunday, Aug. 12 following the closing ceremonies of the Olympics, and the show will make its official premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 8 pm. Guys With Kids will air its own sneak peak on on Wednesday, Sept. 12 after America’s Got Talent, and begin its regular run Sept. 26 at 8:30 pm.

Up All Night, The Office and Parks and Recreation return on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 8:30, 9 and 9:30 pm, respectively. 30 Rock kicks off its seventh and final season on Oct. 4t at 8:00 pm ET. And finally, in a move that might represent the oddest lead-in relationship in the history of comedies, Whitney and Community will premiere on Friday, Oct. 19 at 8 and 8:30 pm, respectively.

Looks like NBC’s going to have a sweet lineup. I don’t have to worry about the dates and times since my Hopper automatically records all the primetime shows everyday. I can go back and play then a day after they record and watch them commercial free. I’m able to do this using my new Auto Hop feature to skip right past right them. I’m glad my coworker at Dish showed me how this feature works. Now my family and I can save a ton of time not watching commercials and save money on buying batteries all the time. There’s nothing better than being able to watch TV without the interruption of commercials every ten minutes.
