Stephen Colbert was recently profiled in the Sunday New York Times Magazine. And it seems like the Comedy Central pundit cannot stay out of the news. Recent reports on Fox News, CNN, and other news channels highlighted a poll that shows Stephen Colbert with 5 percent of the vote in the upcoming South Carolina primary, despite his name not being on the ballot!

On last night’s episode of the Colbert Report, Colbert pondered, “I wish there was just some fresh face, untainted by the process that could just swoop in and save the day.” After the news clips showing the poll numbers, he exclaims, “It’s me!” Wondering out loud if he should run for President in South Carolina, he checks with his ecstatic live audience, briefly makes sure God is “good with it” and then reports that he will make a major announcement on tonight’s show.

Tune in tonight to see what will happen! Will he run for President? Will his Super PAC support long-time show favorite Ron Paul? Will he announce a FOURTH party bid (Ron Paul most likely called dibs on 3rd party)?

Check out the moments leading up to tonight’s announcement!
